This song was written by Terry Shelton,Spencer Alexander and myself, Terry gave me a track with just the music beds to listen to , he wanted to see what I could come up with lyrically, being the insomniac that I am, I pulled out these lyrics I had penned about 4 am. the night before, about bed of roses and thorns and stuff ... upon sitting with the track and thinking about my relationship...the rest of the lyrics just poured out, I knew it needed a really "kewl" lead guitar part so we went to Mars and the "Rog" Mr. Barracuda himself did an awesome job! At a later time we brought in the "Dodger" from "Dodge City" to re-mix and master with his side kick Lee Hollister. So I'd like to "Thank all the way" from the bottom of my heart the following peeps...
Percussion - Stevie Adamak
Guitars - Roger Fisher, Jerry Baptiest, Terry Shelton
Bass - Garey Shelton

I was singing in a club in Seattle when these two guys visiting the Seattle Film Festival from Palm Springs asked if I would like to cut a demo with a friend who writes "surf rock" music with a studio in Huntington Beach California named Michael J Colier, Mike flew me down, we recorded the demo, upon returning to Seattle we went into Di Pitreo Sound recording studio and cut the track with some very talented players. This song can also be found on a video featuring snow boarding USA Olympic Bronze Medalist Shannon Dunn also featuring other "Big Air Shredder's" Tina Basich and Morgan Lafonte titled "Hips that Rip" by Valerie Stewart of "Pow productions"

I was in Portland Oregon visiting some friends, during a telephone conversation with a friend of mine, Terry Richards from the 70's Rock/ horn band "Chase" we had been talking about my "muse"and he say's...Sky,that's a great name...you should write a song about "touching the sky" or something like that" I stayed up that whole night and penned "Touch the Sky" both the lyrics and the melody line came "rushing" to me...When I got back to Seattle I called Timothy Michaels and we recorded the arrangement that you hear on this track...We added another lyric line when we performed it live at Dodge City Studio for the 2004 "Northwest Harvest Benefit Concert"
KK Ryder would like to thank the following for helping her "Touch The Sky" on this one...

I was in the studio working with a very talented group called "the Resistance" from Bellingham Washington and heard the demo of this track, I thought it had sort of a fun 80's funky groove to it,and felt that I could land some "No Doubt" vocals on it, so for anyone who is missing someone but swears they can feel their presence ...here you go...enjoy!
KK Ryder would like to thank the following with a great big hug!

Steve Sherrard (DBAR Productions) who I knew from Triad studios was working on a new project called "Strip to it"and needed a voice. The original version was more techno. I co-wrote part of the lyrics on this version and with the demo in hand I suggested I'd like to rock it out more! I played it for Randy Hansen,"who said "cool, let's do it" he suggested we bring Lynn Sorensen in on Bass and Jeff Kathan on drums and Scotty Adams laid down some "Sexy Sax" We added "my muse" Sky Benson as the voice of the "big, bad, buff, burley, Biker" We had so much FUN in the studio! We recorded it with the "Dodger" Don Dodge and his side kick Lee Hollister at Dodge City in Seattle.
Great big NAKED hugs to all of you, I have just mentioned above!
